Week 1
- Why "edit with AI" is not "AI edits for you" — the right mental model
- CapCut intro: install, import, the four-panel layout, basic cuts
- Smart Captions — generate, fix wrong words, style for reels and shorts
- Auto Cut Silence — when to use it and when it makes your video weird
- Color, music and B-roll — the 3 things that make amateur footage look professional
- Mini-project: edit a 60-second product ad with stock footage end-to-end
Week 2
- Text-as-video editing — Descript's core idea explained
- Studio Sound and Overdub — fix bad audio, replace words you mispronounced
- Eye contact correction for talking-head videos
- Removing filler words ("um", "actually", "like") in one click — and when not to
- Mini-project: edit a 10-minute interview podcast episode end-to-end
Week 3
- The 2026 generative video landscape: what's real, what's still a demo
- Text-to-video prompting basics — Runway Gen-3, Pika 2.0
- Image-to-video animation — turn your stills into 5-second clips
- Lipsync with HeyGen and D-ID — make a face speak any script
- Mini-project: generate a 15-second ad concept entirely from prompts
Week 4
- Thumbnail generation with Midjourney + Photopea (free Photoshop)
- SEO titles, descriptions and tags with ChatGPT
- Translate and dub for global audience — HeyGen + ElevenLabs in 5 languages
- Schedule, analytics, and iterating on what works
- Capstone: ship one complete 60-second short to your own account
What we promise (and what we don't)
Honest scope
This course teaches the AI video tools that exist today and the workflows that actually save time. We don't promise to turn anyone into a Bollywood editor in 22 lessons. We do promise that by the end you will ship your own video, end-to-end, and that you will know which tool to reach for next time.
Software changes fast in this space. We commit to refreshing every lesson when a major tool updates (CapCut, Descript, Runway and HeyGen ship new features every few months). The platform will tell you when a lesson was last reviewed.
When does the first lesson ship?
The syllabus above is what we are building right now. The first two weeks (CapCut + Descript) ship within the next 4 weeks. Generative video (Week 3) and the YouTube/Instagram stack (Week 4) follow within 8 weeks. Course is free on launch — no waitlist fee, no preorder, no "early access" tier.
