Techwave Academy is a free, hands-on online school for Indian students who want to learn AI, software engineering, data, and spoken English. Eighteen courses, ninety-plus weeks of material, every lesson runs in your browser, and every learner gets every course on signup. There is no trial, no upgrade tier, no credit card.
This page exists to answer three questions a careful person will ask before trusting a free product with their time: who is behind this, why is it free, and how do we know it will still be here next year?
Techwave Academy is built by a small team of working engineers in India, in the evenings and on weekends. We are not venture-backed. We are not a content-licensing reseller. Every course on the platform was authored by someone on this team, with AI tools accelerating the work but never replacing the human who reviewed it.
Leads the academic side: course design, narration in Hindi and Hinglish, and the partnerships with Indian schools and colleges. Background in education and learner research.
Builds the platform. Software engineer (Qualtrics, Amazon, IIT Kanpur). Writes the technical courses (DSA, Python, AI, Claude Mastery, Linux, Git) and runs the AI-mentor and TTS pipelines.
A handful of subject-matter contributors help with specific courses (data analytics, spoken English, CBSE syllabi). The credit lines are at the top of each course.
Three things shape what we ship and what we refuse to ship:
Watching someone code is not the same as coding. Every lesson on Techwave Academy ends in a task you have to actually do — write the Python, run the SQL, draft the prompt, record the spoken-English answer. The AI mentor is available 24×7 to unstick you when you get stuck. We measure progress in completed tasks, not minutes of video watched.
We list only what we deliver today on the home page. Aspirational features (1:1 calls, live mock interviews, weekly cohort lectures, referrals) live in a clearly-labelled "On the roadmap" section. When we ship them, they move up. We do this because the alternative — promising what does not exist yet — is how a generation of Indian learners got burned by edtech once already.
Individual learners pay nothing. Ever. Long-term sustainability comes from paid B2B partnerships with Indian schools and colleges, where the institution licenses the platform for its students and we provide trainers and curriculum. The first such partnership is a pilot with a government school in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh. Full sustainability explanation here →

Anything not on this list is not coming soon. We will not pretend otherwise.
We read everything sent to contact@techwaveacademy.com. School and college partnerships should write to official@techwaveacademy.com. The fastest place to ask a quick question is the community WhatsApp group.
