Hindi walkthrough of the pointer-flipping trick. We show iterative (preferred for interviews) and recursive (helpful to know). Pointer diagrams, code in 3 languages, and the classic follow-up: reverse only the first K nodes.
Neeche is topic ka Hinglish explanation hai, wahi jo hamare course lesson mein audio narration ke saath chalta hai. Code English mein hai, samjhana Hindi mein.
Linked list reverse karna sabse common pointer manipulation problem hai. Concept mein easy hai aur practice na ho toh brutal. Trick hai teen lines ka order. Galat ho gaya toh list silently break ho jaata hai.
Tumhe diya gaya hai singly linked list ka head. Reverse karna hai aur naya head return karna hai. Original list in-place mutate hota hai. Solve karo iteratively aur recursively dono: interviewer dono poochte hain.
Pattern hai "teen pointers carry karte hue chalo". Previous, current, aur next. Har step pe save karte ho kahaan chain todne waale ho taaki re-link kar sako. Yeh teen pointer dance har jagah aata hai: partition, rotation, K-group reversal.
Pehle iterative code. Loop ke andar teen lines, exact iss order mein. Ek: next save karo. Do: current dot next ko previous pe point karne ke liye flip karo. Teen: previous aur current ek aage shift karo. Inn teen mein se koi do swap kiye toh list break ho jaati hai.
Ab recursive solution. Recurse karo end tak, naya head lo, phir wapas aate hue har pointer flip karo. Base case hai aakhri node, jo naya head banta hai aur upar bubble up hota hai. Do baar padho: linked list pe recursion pehle thoda unintuitive lagta hai.
Dono approaches O(n) time hain. Iterative O(1) space hai. Recursive O(n) space hai call stack ki wajah se: har recursive frame ek pointer hold karta hai. Bahut lambi list ke liye recursion stack-overflow ho sakta hai. Iterative safer hai.
Common follow-ups. Sirf positions m aur n ke beech reverse karo. K ke groups mein reverse karo. List reorder karo. Second half reverse karke palindrome detect karo. In sab problems ka ek common subroutine hai: linked list reverse karna. Iss ko master karo aur saare tractable ho jate hain.
def reverseList(head):
prev, curr = None, head
while curr:
next_node = curr.next # 1. Save the next node first.
curr.next = prev # 2. Flip the current node's pointer backward.
prev = curr # 3. Advance prev to current.
curr = next_node # 4. Advance current to saved next.
return prev
Complexity: Iterative: time O(n), space O(1); Recursive: time O(n), space O(n).
This free course is built for BTech / BE / BSc / MCA students preparing for campus placements at Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Adobe, Flipkart, Razorpay and similar Indian product companies; also professionals targeting switch interviews. If you have ever Googled reverse linked list in hindi (hinglish) with code and bounced off paid-subscription paywalls or content that assumes you already know everything, this is the course for you.
This page is part of our flagship free course, Blind 75 LeetCode. The full course is delivered as short, focused lessons, each with bilingual narration (English and Hinglish), interactive practice widgets, and a clear before-and-after so you can feel yourself getting better. You can pause for weeks and pick up exactly where you left off, your progress is saved.
One phone-number signup unlocks every course on Techwave Academy: AI Bootcamp, Python for Class 4 / 6 / 8 / 10 / CBSE 12, Git, Linux, Spoken English, IOI Prep, Foundation Bootcamp, Blind 75, NeetCode 150, Claude Mastery, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, and Excel. Yes, all 18, forever free.
Blind 75 was assembled by an experienced interviewer specifically to cover every pattern that appears in SDE interviews, no duplicates, no fluff. It is the most efficient list for placement prep.
Both. Each lesson has a Hindi narration track for the explanation and English-only code with comments.
Every solution is provided in all three. Use the one your placement allows. If unsure, start with Python (cleanest), switch to C++ if you target high-frequency-trading or systems roles.
4-6 weeks if you do 2 problems a day with the in-browser editor and re-do tough ones.
Yes, 100% free, like every Techwave course.
